Young Rock Jeon, one of the most popular singers from the 1970s through 1980s in Korea made a performance in July 12th at the auditorium of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. About 700 Korean Americans in the Washington metropolitan area attended the event. This event was to fundraise for the construction of Korean American community centers in the Washington metropolitan area. iTalk Global Communications, Inc. was one of major sponsors of this event. Diane Kim, marketing manager of iTalk Global Communications, Inc. said, "We decided to participate in this event as a sponsor to make a contribution to Korean American society." And she added, "We want to come closer to Korean Americans by sharing our profit with them."
iTalk Global Communications, Inc. established a booth in front of the auditorium and distributed marketing collateral to the participants. Many Korean Americans visited iTalkBB's booth before and after the concert and showed interests in iTalkBB's residential home phone service recently launched in the Korean American society.
