  • Can I keep my current phone number if I switch to iTalkBB?
    Yes. We suggest our customers to use the number iTalkBB assigned, but if you wish to keep your current phone number you need to apply for the transfer. This process will take about 2-6 weeks. Also, during this process you need to keep your phone service with your current carrier until the number is transferred to iTalkBB. For more information please check URL for number transfer.
    I do not have high speed internet, can I still use iTalkBB's service?
    If you wish to sign up for our residential service plan, you must subscribe high-speed internet connection first, either Cable, DSL or Fiber-Optic service.
    May I cancel my previous phone service at any time, after switching to iTalkBB?
    If your internet service is provided by a Cable Company, you may cancel your current phone service at any time. If your internet service is provided by a DSL Company, you need to contact your DSL service provider; often you may not cancel your telephone service and keep your DSL alone. If that is the case, iTalkBB still has service plans that will fit your needs, please call our toll free customer service center at 1-877-482-5522 to find more information.
    Is the monthly bill going to be mailed to us?
    No. Your monthly balance will be charged to your credit card. This payment method is simple, easy, fast and safe.
    Is there a service contract between iTalkBB and their customers?
    During your risk-free 30 day trial period, if you are not satisfied with our service, you may cancel your service within your trial period. Please call our customer service at 1-877-482-5503 to cancel service. We will refund you the monthly charge,Shipping and Handling Fee and activation fee. Within 7 days after canceling your service, you must mail back iTalkBB's IP Box in order to avoid $59.99 equipment fee.
    After 30 day trial period, you may cancel your service at anytime. If your service is cancelled within 1 year of usage, a $69.99 termination fee will apply; if your service is cancelled after 1 year of usage, there will be no termination fee. Within 7 days after canceling your service, you must mail back iTalkBB's IP Box in order to avoid $59.99 equipment fee.

    Can I still use the phone regularly while my PSTN is being switched from my previous service carrier to iTalkBB?
    You may keep using the number which is assigned by iTalkBB. The number you wish to transfer will not be affected until the last few days of the transfer process.
    How do I restart my IP Box?
    First, disconnect power of your Cable/DSL Modem, Router and IP Box. Then connect the power cable onto Modem first, and wait about 30-60 seconds to connect the power cable onto Router, wait another 30-60 seconds to connect the power cable onto IP Box.
    Note: The purpose for the 30-60 seconds wait time is for the equipment to return to its normal working mode, to ensure a good connection between all equipments.
    Where can I find my local telephone number?
    After you have activated your account, your telephone number will be shown. An automatic email contains your new number will also be sent to you. You may find this information in your account management page as well.
    If I still have to activate my account, how do I do that?
    Your IP BOX will be activated automatically after 7 days of the sign-up date or when you make the first phone calls.

    How do I use fax?
    Our new IP Box supports fax. After you hear dial tone, press the "#" key, then dial the number.
    For U.S. and Canada calls: # + 1 + area code and telephone number
    (For example: # + 1+ 202 888 8888)
    iTalkBB service does not support international Fax.
    How do I set up call forwarding?
    Forward all calls:
      after hearing dial tone, press * 72+ 1+ the number you wish to forward to
    press * 73 to cancel
    Forward calls when busy:
      after hearing dial tone, press * 90+1+ the number you wish to forward to
    press * 91 to cancel
    Forward calls when no answer:
      after hearing dial tone, press * 92+1+ the number you wish to forward to
    press * 93 to cancel
    What is my IP address?

    How do I know if my home broadband Internet service is fast enough for iTalkBB service?
    Answer: iTalkBB broadband phone service can be used on most broadband Internet services. These includes but not limit to most common home DSL, Cable, and Fiber internet services. The requirement for minimum upload and download speed is 256 kbps (most common DSL services are at least 512 kbps upload and 2 mbps download). If your network speed is at least at this required level, you can expect a clear and fluid call quality from iTalkBB phones*. If you are not sure about your network speed, you can check it here at our speedtest website (speedtest.iTalkBB.com). This speedtest tool will also provide some additional data regarding the quality of your network.
